The receipt of residence permit applications is resuming at the Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing.

Please note that a new Immigration Act will enter into force on 1 January 2024. The procedure for applications for residence and permanent residence permits submitted before the entry into force of this Act will be suspended between 1 January 2024 and 29 February 2024.

Please be informed that from the 29th of December, 2023 - except for cases of urgent emergency involving a Hungarian citizen - the Consular Section will be closed.

A Magyar Diaszpóra Tanácson történt bejelentéssel összhangban tájékoztatjuk a magyar közösségek tagjait, hogy elindult a Hazaváró Portál. A honlap a hazaköltözéssel kapcsolatos adminisztratív feladatokról nyújt naprakész információkat, illetve az érdeklődők egy navigátor segítségével személyre szabott ügyintézési listát állíthatnak össze a teendőkről.
